Dantty begins
Founded in March while Merit was an Information Systems and Technology student at Makerere University.
I build technology as both an engineer and an entrepreneur: close enough to the code to ship it, and close enough to the problem to know why it should exist.
I founded Dantty in March 2020 while studying Information Systems and Technology at Makerere University. What started with online shopping became a wider experiment in connected digital services — from seller tools and hosting to media, food, medical commerce, finance, and applied software.
“The best technology doesn't arrive as spectacle. It becomes part of how people live, work, and move forward.”
That is the standard behind every Dantty product: useful first, contextual always, ambitious by design.

Dantty begins registering local businesses to sell online, extending the product from store to platform.
Merit co-authors a Makerere mobile crime and emergency alert system focused on faster reporting and feedback.
Merit earns a Bachelor of Information Systems and Technology, adding formal systems training to founder experience.
Katale Uganda's public Google Play listing identifies Merit as the developer behind the Android shopping app.
Fourteen public product names now connect commerce, business infrastructure, media, and consumer services.
